Hospitality cleaning checklist for cafés, bars and venues

Planning front-of-house, washroom and staff-area cleaning around service hours.
Separate cleaning zones
Dining spaces, bars, customer washrooms and staff areas need defined tasks and equipment. Food preparation areas may require specialist procedures beyond a general cleaning contract.
Build the schedule around opening, deliveries and close-down so cleaners can work safely without interrupting service.
Focus on visible detail
Guests notice entrance glass, table edges, floors, seats and washroom condition. Check corners and under movable furniture as well as central walkways.
Use documented checks during busy periods and respond to spills through the venue's safety process.
Plan periodic deep work
Upholstery, carpets, internal windows and hard floors may need less frequent specialist attention. Add these to a calendar rather than waiting until they look heavily soiled.
Review the cleaning specification after menu, layout or opening-hour changes.
