A repeatable changeover process for hosts, from linen and bathrooms to final property checks.
Use the same sequence every time
Begin with a quick inspection and record damage, missing items or maintenance concerns. Strip beds and start laundry early, then work through each room with a written checklist.
A consistent order reduces missed tasks when the gap between check-out and check-in is short.
Reset the essentials
Clean and sanitise suitable bathroom and kitchen surfaces, make beds with fresh linen and replace only the supplies agreed for the property. Check inside the fridge, microwave and other guest-use appliances.
Vacuum and mop last so footprints are not carried back through finished rooms.
Complete a guest-eye inspection
Stand at the entrance to each room and look for hair, crumbs, streaks, dust and misplaced items. Test lights and report faults rather than attempting work outside the cleaning scope.
Hosts using a cleaning service should provide access instructions, linen arrangements, inventory details and an escalation contact.
